Bill’s journey with Recovery Beyond began in early 2019 when he attended a meeting to volunteer for our mountaineering program. He quickly became an active supporter, contributing as a donor and engaging with the community. In January 2023, he joined the Board of Directors, stepping into the role of interim Executive Director in December 2023, and assuming the position full-time in February 2024.
Before joining Recovery Beyond, Bill enjoyed a 30+ year career in freight forwarding and logistics, serving in leadership roles including Chief Operating Officer (North America) for Scan Global Logistics, President of Ascent Global Logistics, and Managing Director at FedEx Trade Networks.
Bill also proudly served in the infantry with the United States Marine Corps. He is married and has two daughters. Bill is passionate about outdoor adventure. He enjoys hiking, mountaineering, mountain biking, and skiing, and has hiked or climbed extensively across the Cascades, Rockies, Sierras, and Mexico.
